Privacy policy

Last updated 5 November 2026

Editors Wishlist is a UK website that collects the beauty products UK editors recommend in their own published work, with links to where you can buy them. This page explains what happens to your information when you visit.

The short version

Who runs this site

Editors Wishlist is run by an independent publisher in the United Kingdom, who is responsible for this site under UK data protection law (UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018).

Information collected when you visit

Hosting. The site is hosted by Netlify. Like any web host, Netlify’s servers briefly process technical details such as your IP address, browser type and the page requested, so the page can be delivered and the service kept secure. We don’t use this to identify you. See Netlify’s privacy policy.

Fonts. Our typefaces load from Google Fonts, so your browser connects to Google, which receives your IP address. See Google’s privacy policy.

Filters. The product filters run entirely in your browser. Your choices may appear in the page address so you can share a filtered view, but nothing is sent to us.

Our newsletter

If you sign up to the Editors Wishlist newsletter, we collect your email address so we can send you one email a month featuring the latest editor picks. We rely on your consent, which you give by entering your email and pressing “Sign me up”.

Affiliate links

Editors Wishlist is a participant in the Amazon EU Associates Programme, an affiliate advertising programme designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.co.uk. As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases.

When you click a “Shop” link you leave this site. Amazon or the retailer may then use cookies to record that you came from us, so any commission can be credited. That’s covered by their own privacy and cookie policies, for example Amazon.co.uk’s privacy notice. We never see your name, payment details or what else you buy.

Every pick is the editor’s own, taken from their published work. Commission never decides what appears here.

Links to publications

We credit and link to the articles each pick comes from. Those sites have their own privacy policies, which apply once you visit them.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to ask what personal information is held about you, and to ask for it to be corrected or deleted. If you’ve joined our newsletter, you can ask us at any time to see, correct or delete your email address. For other data, this mainly concerns our hosting and font providers, which you can contact directly. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.

Changes to this policy

If we add anything that changes how your information is used, such as analytics or a new email service, we’ll update this page first and change the date at the top.
